kathy creates larger-than-life, multi-figural oil paintings to tell stories about her spiritual formation. Drawing from queer, womanist, & liberation theology; Buddhist iconography; and Christian/Catholic aesthetics, she explores the erotic, the divine, and painting as an act of prayer, meditation, and paying attention.
